Inclusive Education and Special Needs Support

This Erasmus+ training empowers teachers, school staff, and support professionals to create inclusive learning environments where every student — regardless of ability, background, or need — can reach their full potential.

The course combines theoretical understanding with hands-on practice and field visits to Dutch inclusive schools renowned for their innovative approaches to diversity and equality. Participants will explore the latest European frameworks for inclusion, including UNESCO’s Inclusive Education Guidelines and the EU Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (2021–2030).

Through workshops and peer learning sessions, participants will gain strategies to adapt lessons, differentiate instruction, and use assistive digital tools to support students with special educational needs (SEN), learning disabilities, or behavioural challenges.
Emphasis is placed on creating positive, empathetic classroom cultures where emotional safety and participation are at the heart of learning.

The program also highlights how the Dutch education system balances academic goals with social-emotional development — offering models that can be adapted to any European context.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to design an Inclusion Improvement Plan for their schools, integrating inclusive pedagogy, accessibility, and Erasmus+ inclusion objectives.
