Course Description:

This hands-on Erasmus+ course equips teachers, school staff, and educational leaders with the practical skills needed to transform their schools into sustainable, environmentally responsible institutions. Participants will explore the principles of the circular economy, zero-waste learning environments, and energy-efficient school operations.

The Netherlands offers one of Europe’s most advanced educational models for sustainability from eco-friendly school architecture to green mobility and recycling programs. Through visits to local schools and community projects in Haarlem and Amsterdam, participants will experience how environmental responsibility can be embedded into every level of education.

Throughout the training, participants will work in teams to design their own Green Mobility and Sustainability Action Plan, which they can apply directly in their schools upon return. The program combines theory, field experience, and guided project development ensuring both pedagogical value and measurable impact in future Erasmus+ projects.
